Language questions were only asked of persons 5 years and older. The language question is about current use of a non-English language at home, not about ability to speak another language or the use of such a language in the past or elsewhere. People who speak a language other than English outside of the home are not reported as speaking a language other than English. Respondents that spoke a language other than English at home, where also asked whether they could speak English "very well" or less than "very well. Questions regarding current marital stastus and marital histoy were asked of persons 15 years and older. This indicator provides the number of persons 15 years and older and the percent in each martital status category.

This indicator provides number and percentage of persons with a disability (one or more) within each age group. Disability status is determined for the civilian non-institutionalized population who responded to questions regarding six types of difficulty and may vary by age. For children under 5 years old, hearing and vision difficulty are used to determine disability status. For children between the ages of 5 and 14, disability status is determined from hearing, vision, cognitive, ambulatory, and self-care difficulties. For people aged 15 years and older, they are considered to have a disability if they have difficulty with any one of the six difficulty types. *Refers to the percent of those with a disability within the specific age group.

This indicator shows total population broken down by race/ethnicity. Note: In previous iterations of the Demographic Profiles, American Indian/Aslakan Native (AIAN) had been part of the 'Other*' category. Beginning in 2017, 'AIAN' will be a unique category. People of Hispanic origin may be of any race.
*API refers to Asian/ Pacific Islanders and include Asian, Pacific Islander, and Native Hawaiian; AIAN refers to American Indian/ Alaskan Natives; Other includes those of two or more races or other.

This indicator provides the percentage of students in each age group that were enrolled in school (any level of school). Enrollment questions are asked for persons 3 years and older and percentage is for each specific age group.

This indicator provides the number of students enrolled in any level of school ages 3 years and older and the proportion of enrolled students by their grade level. In other words, of the population 3 years and over who are enrolled in school, the percent of students enrolled by grade level.

This indicator breaks down school enrollment in each grade level by type of school, private or public, for the population 3 years and over enrolled in school. Percentage refers to the proportion of those 3+ enrolled in school in either private or public school in the given grade level. Therefore, the sum of private and public percentages for each grade level will add to 100%.

This indicator shows the senior population by age group. Number (#) represents the number of seniors in that age group. Percentage (%) represents the percentage the age group makes up out of the total population in the geography.

This indicator explores the type of household that seniors, ages 65+, lived in. Types of households are classified by presence of relatives. Please note that estimates from other American Community Survey (ACS) tables may differ depending on the categories included in that table; this is because the percentage of seniors by households type data presented here includes the senior population living in group quarters (college residence halls, residential treatment centers, skilled nursing facilities, group homes, military barracks, correctional facilities, workers’ dormitories, and facilities for people experiencing homelessness).

This indicator explores two things in the senior population (residents age 65 years and over). The labor force is the percentage who remain in the labor force* and the second is the percentage who live in poverty using two federal poverty levels (FPLs), below 100% and 200% FPL.

*In labor force refer to persons who were working or actively looking for work. It excludes active-duty military personnel and the institutionalized population, such as prison inmates.
