This purpose of this indicator is to provide information on income and benefits in households. Specifically, the percentage of households that receive earnings, social security income, supplemental security income (SSI), cash public assistance income, retirement income, and SNAP/food stamps. These income sources are not mutually exclusive; that is, some households may have received income from more than one source.

This indicator refers to the highest level of education completed in terms of the highest degree or the highest level of schooling completed for the population 25 years and older. This is different from the level of schooling that an individual is attending (enrolled in).

This indicator is specific to the foreign-born population. Moreover, it breaks down the foreign population into naturalized citizens or not naturalized residents.

Because it is out of the entire population, the percentages of naturalized and not naturalized will not add up to 100%. Instead, they will add to the percentage of foreign-born.

This table shows the number of grandparent 30 years or older living with own grandchildren under 18 years in households by responsibility for grandchildren with or without a parent present. Additionally, it breaks down grandparents living with and those responsible for their grandchildren without a parent present by age group.

This indicator provides the percent of the civilian noninsitutionalized population with and without health insurance. It additionally provides the percentage of civilian noninstitutionalized population with health insurance in specific age groups.

Health insurance coverage is defined as plans and programs that provide comprehensive health coverage. Plans that provide insurance for specific conditions or situations such as cancer and long-term care policies are not considered coverage. Likewise, other types of insurance like dental, vision, life, and disability insurance are not considered health insurance coverage. This indicator provides the percentage of occupied housing units by the number of vehicles available. There are four vehicle availability categories: no vehicles, one vehicle, two vehicles, and three or more vehicles.

Language questions were only asked of persons 5 years and older. The language question is about current use of a non-English language at home, not about ability to speak another language or the use of such a language in the past. People who speak a language other than English outside of the home are not reported as speaking a language other than English. Similarly, people whose mother tongue is a non-English language but who do not currently use the language at home do not report the language.
